What is Cablecast?

Cablecast is a custom software/hardware interface for managing the scheduling and playback of video content for broadcast TV and the internet.

Cablecast servers are purpose-build appliances rather than run-of-the mill Windows computers. They use LTSC Enterprise versions of WIndows. In many situations, the end user doesn't access the computer directly; instead they work with the Cablecast software in their browser.
