Out of Box & Setup

The Live Multi 900 started shipping in June 2026 and is licensed with Windows 11 IoT Enterprise. All servers ship with Cablecast licensing and include a unique Windows account password.

The default username is cablecast

Getting Started

You will need an ethernet cable for internet access. This will also allow a Cablecast Support to remote in to your server and help with configuration.

  1. Connect the server to power, ethernet, and a display. The server supports three display connections:

    • HDMI – standard connection, no additional hardware required.

    • DisplayPort – standard connection, no additional hardware required.

    • VGA – recessed due to the I/O shield position. Screws are required to secure the VGA cable. Without screws, the cable will disconnect.

  2. Connect a mouse and keyboard to the two USB 3.0 ports on the front of the server.

  3. Turn the server on.

  4. The server will immediately check for any Windows updates. Install any new updates before completing setup.

  5. Once updates are complete, accept the Windows End User License Agreement (EULA).

  6. Once the EULA is accepted, log in to your Cablecast server using the password on the card included in the box or on the sticker on the back of the server.

Live Multi 900 Password

Each Live Multi 900 ships with a card containing a QR code that links to Cablecast resources. This card also contains the server password. If the card is lost, the password is printed on a sticker on the back of the server.

Note

If Windows credentials are changed, make sure to record the new credentials in a secure location. Cablecast Support does not have a record of custom credentials.

Windows Recovery

The 900 series has Windows recovery enabled by default. The server can be restored to its factory image — a snapshot taken after the machine was licensed — using the built-in Windows recovery tool.

  • The content drive should remain intact after recovery.

  • Databases will need to be restored after recovery.
