Crawls and Unicode text

When creating a crawl for use in Cablecast many users will use MS word or a notepad program to verify spelling and grammar before copying and pasting long text into Cablecast's Crawl text field. Depending upon the program used this can create a Unicode text error which will prevent the text of the crawl from display correctly, if at all.

If the usual tests for checking if the Branding function is working are showing up to work, and the crawl is still not working. Run the text of the crawl through the unicode tool (link below) to strip out unicode characters and output ASCII characters.

Simply copy your text into the Unicode Text box and then use the text from the regular text box to copy and paste into Cablecast's Crawl text field.
