Overview

Cablecast 7.4.18 follows 7.4.16 fixing several issues discovered in 7.4.16. While most of the issues in 7.4.16 are rare and effect only a small subset of systems, it is recommended that all systems update at their earliest convenience.

• CC-3404 Desktop CG Players Don't Update Crawls After Initial Launch
  • Fixed an issue where Desktop CG players were ignoring crawl updates from the server, leaving the initial crawl state from launch until restarted.
• CC-3438 Shows With Manually Linked Files Don't Auto Generate Caption Jobs
  • Fixed an issues with shows having manually linked digital files not automatically creating caption jobs. Now when the show is saved, the caption jobs will be created if the file does not have captions.
• CC-3446 Caption Detection Can Hang On Certain Files Causing System Instability
  • Fixed an issue where caption detection introduced in 7.4.16 could hang on certain files causing a leak in system resources and eventual system instability.
• CC-3447 CG Playback Can Cause Video Server or CG Player Crashes
  • Fixed an issue where CG channel playback on VIO servers or Desktop CG players with channels set to use line in audio could crash if there was no audio devices on the system.
