Overview

Cablecast 7.6 introduces the Audience Measurement Dashboard that provides insights into VOD and Live Stream viewing. Additional features include Audio Meters, Frontdoor integration, device config in the Cablecast UI and software updates from the UI.

• CC-3486 Audience Measurement Dashboard
  • Cablecast 7.6.0 introduces the Audience Measurement Dashboard which provides insights into VOD and Live Stream viewing. The data is collected directly from the Reflect CDN, meaning it doesn’t matter how the viewer is watching the content, the views will be counted.
• CC-3897 Audio Meters
  • The Cablecast Video Server Engine now measures audio levels of the video server outputs, SDI inputs, and network stream sources. Wherever Cablecast displays video confidence monitors, they will now show stereo audio meters next to the video. This is useful to verify that audio is being played or received with the video signal.
• CC-3898 Frontdoor is now integrated into Cablecast
  • With Cablecast 7.6.0, Frontdoor is now rolled into the Cablecast installer and is managed entirely by Cablecast. It can no longer be installed as a separate piece of software.
• CC-3900 Improved Configuration For Video Servers and Live Stream Devices
  • In Cablecast 7.6.0 gone is the Cablecast Video Server Config tool. All configurations have been moved to the Cablecast user interface. This provides a convenient single location to update settings such as resolution, audio processing, and I/O. It also provides a mechanism to validate the settings that have been entered by the user.
• CC-3901 Automated Install of Software Updates
  • Previous versions of Cablecast included notifications of available software updates. The user could have Cablecast download and distribute the installation file to all servers in a system. This feature has been enhanced to for allow automatic installation of the software update on each server.
