Hardware EOL (End Of Life) Policy

January 12, 2021

All current generation hardware come with 3 years of included factory warranty. Beyond the 3 years, an additional 2 years can be purchased to extend coverage (for a total coverage length of 5 years).

In accordance with our Hardware Terms, Hardware warranties cannot be extended past 5 years of coverage from the original date of purchase and/or date of installation. Although systems can function well beyond the 5 years

For systems that experience hardware failures or need servicing after 5 years of coverage, on a case by case basis (depending on the issue, and if parts are available), hourly RMA service may be offered.

Even though hardware may be considered EOL, Doesnt mean that the system is no longer eligible for software updates. See our article about Software EOL Policy for additional information. Generally, as long as the hardware is running non-EOL Windows operating system, software updates will continue to be available for legacy systems.

In short - A system cannot exceed 5 years of hardware warranty coverage. In most cases; Software updates will remain available for legacy systems that exceed 5 years of age.
