Core Operations

What You'll Learn in This Level

Level 2 covers the everyday tasks that keep your station running — uploading content, building show records, scheduling programming, and sending Autopilot. These are the foundational skills every Cablecast operator needs before moving on to streaming, captioning, or automation.

By the end of this level, you'll be able to:

  • Log in to Cablecast and navigate the interface

  • Upload media files and organize them in file stores

  • Create show records for both digital files and live events

  • Build and manage your programming schedule

  • Send Autopilot to put your schedule on air

Note: Start with Understanding the Basics: Login, Upload, Schedule, Autopilot. That article walks you through the full workflow from end to end. The remaining articles in this level take a deeper look at the individual topics introduced there.

Tip: If you haven't completed Level 1 yet, start there. Level 2 assumes you're familiar with the Cablecast interface and have your user account set up.
