Welcome to Cablecast Academy

Dark background with green and blue geometric accents. A TV monitor icon and a cloud streaming icon with a play button are displayed on the right. On the left, the text reads "Cablecast Academy" with the tagline: "Your content meets your community whenever and wherever they watch." Five level indicators are shown along the bottom.

You're in the right place. Cablecast Academy is a structured learning guide designed to take you from your first login to running a fully automated station — at whatever pace works for you.

Whether you're brand new to Cablecast or just looking to fill in some gaps, the Academy meets you where you are.

How the Academy Is Organized

The Academy is divided into five levels, each building on the last:

  • Level 1: Welcome to Cablecast — Get familiar with the system, your hardware, and the key concepts you'll use every day.

  • Level 2: Core Operations — Master the foundational tasks every operator needs: uploading content, creating show records, scheduling, and sending Autopilot.

  • Level 3: Automation & Advanced Tools — Work smarter with Autoschedule, Workflows, batch functions, and more.

  • Level 4: Captioning & Accessibility — Set up closed captioning for broadcast and on-demand content, and make your channel accessible to everyone.

  • Level 5: Streaming & Online Distribution — Reach your audience beyond cable with Internet Channels, video on demand, and social streaming.

Where to Start

New to Cablecast? Start with Level 1 and work your way through. Each level builds on the one before it, so going in order gives you the strongest foundation.

Already up and running? Jump straight to the level that covers what you need. Every article is written to stand on its own.

Note: Cablecast CG is not covered in this guide. A dedicated Cablecast CG Academy track is planned for a future phase.
