How the Branded App Design & Build Process Works

This guide walks you through how your branded streaming app is designed, reviewed, and built using Cablecast’s streamlined app creation system.

Our goal is to make the process:

• Simple and guided

• Transparent at every step

• Fast, with fewer back-and-forth emails

• Easy to review and approve

Everything happens through secure links, so you don’t need special software or accounts.

Step 1: Getting Started

Once you purchase a Custom Branded App, our team will start a project for you and send you a secure link to begin.

This link is where you’ll:

• Upload logos and images

• Provide app details

• Choose colors

• Sign required distribution agreements

Step 2: Upload Your Assets & App Information

Using your secure link, you’ll be guided through a short, step-by-step process.

Upload Your Assets

You can upload:

• App icons

• Logos

• Background images

• Any other branding materials you have

You can:

• Upload multiple files

• Add notes to each file

• Let us know how each image should be used

Provide App Details & Brand Preferences

You’ll be asked to fill out basic information about your app, such as:

• App name

• Brand colors

• Design preferences or notes

Don’t worry if you’re unsure about something—optional notes are always welcome, and our designers and Support team will help fill in the gaps.

Step 3: Content Distribution Agreement

Before your app can be submitted to app stores (Apple, Google, Amazon, Roku), we’re required to collect a content distribution agreement.

This is handled directly in the same link:

• Enter your contact information

• Review the agreement

• Sign digitally (type or draw your signature)

Once submitted, everything is securely sent to our team.

Step 4: Design & Live Preview

Our designers will create your app design using the information and assets you provided.

Instead of static mockups, you’ll see a live preview of your app that:

• Uses real layouts

• Shows real content and titles

• Displays how your app will look across platforms

This helps ensure what you approve is what gets built.

Step 5: Review & Approve Your App Design

When the design is ready, you’ll receive the same secure link again—now updated to the review stage.

You can:

• Preview your app design

• Request changes (colors, images, layout feedback)

• Approve the design when you’re happy

Step 6: App Build & Store Submission

Once your design is approved:

• We already have all assets, colors, and details

• No additional steps are needed from you

• Our team builds and submits your app to the app stores

Because everything is automated and organized, this step is fast and efficient.
