What to Do If You Forget Your Windows Password

If your server was purchased after January 2025, the Windows password was set at the factory. You can find it on a sticker located on the back of the server, as well as on a card that shipped with the unit.

If your Windows credentials have been changed, or if your server was purchased prior to January 2025, we may not have a record of the current password. For security and future reference, we strongly recommend storing your Windows credentials in a secure location, such as a password manager or vault.

If you’re unsure what your Windows credentials are, we recommend first contacting the integrator who installed your system to see if they have the information documented. If they’re unable to provide it, please reach out to our Support team for assistance.

If the credentials cannot be recovered, the final step would be to reimage the server. Please note that reimaging is a billable service and must be scheduled with a member of the Cablecast Support team.
